In the heart of October 2020, during the year of covid, just two days after Xavier’s birthday, their paths crossed for the first time. In just two hours together, Xavier felt a profound connection, texting Kelly that very night, “I can see myself marrying you.”
By August 2021, their bond had deepened, and they exchanged promise rings in a park over a picnic. Afterward, they retrieved a notebook from Xavier’s car and returned to their picnic site, where they penned their promise vows. Beneath the canopy of a sycamore tree, they shared their dreams, wishes, and aspirations, committing to a journey of connection, love, and engagement. Their promise was to explore the depths of each other’s souls, whether their journey led to marriage or a deeply rooted friendship.
A year later, in August 2022, they returned to that same park and publicly shared their vows with friends and family. They sealed the rings in a box to be reopened on their wedding day as their wedding bands. Over the next two years, they faced countless hurdles, hardships, and family dynamics. Yet, through it all, they stayed together, growing stronger, discovering the profound meaning of love, life, and family.
With the unwavering support of their close friends and family, they cultivated a deep sense of community and shared their journey, as Ephesians 4:2-3 encourages, “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” Now, as they stand on the brink of a new chapter, they are deeply moved to invite you to their August 2024 celebration, marking this beautiful journey and the love that has guided them every step of the way.
